Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Frank Cornish, former Bruin All America. From the official site:
"The UCLA family was saddended to learn that All-America football center Frank Cornish passed away in sleep at his home on Friday evening. Cornish lived in Southlake, TX (near Dallas) with his wife Robin and their five children (three daughters and two sons).
Cornish, who would have been 41 on Sept. 24, played for the Bruins for four years (1986-89) and started all 35 games of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He earned first-team All-America honors in 1989 and was a second-team selection in 1988.
"The Bruin family sends our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to the Cornish family," said head coach Rick Neuheisel, who was a Bruin assistant for most of Cornish's career. "I was a coach when he was a player and he was just a gifted guy. Frank was a great guy in the locker room and a huge personality and a fun guy to be around." " [Full official release here.]

to the Cornish family for their tragic loss. So talented, and so young to be taken away. I am so sorry.
