Morgan/CRN ad in LAT calling out $C

Loving this.  FINALLY, a coach who is embracing the rivalry and not treating it like "any other game".  I'm actually very surprised Morgan would take out something calling out the slime across town after ignoring it for so long.

Also, I've been MIA on vacation for a LONG time, and the recent writing has been tremendous.  Loving it guys--only 6 more days!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Thats a very gutsy move

I don’t know how I should be feeling about this. Its just a very ballsy thing to do and reeks of being bulletin board material. Still, statement made. It shows confidence, and thats not necessarily a bad thing!

Very Gutsy

And I love it! If we talk smack and lose big—we lose big and still talked some smack. If we don’t and lose big—we just lose big.

This should be a raging war until we are back where we should be.

Hear CRN on Dan Patrick this morning discussing

Didn’t hear the full thing, but he said basically it is meant to give the fans some swagger, and fans don’t have to wait until we are champions again to start acting like we are. He said UCLA fans need to have pride in their football and know it is on the right track.

I liked what he said a lot!!

"when you've seen how big the world is, how can you make due with this?"

KIIS

He said the same things when Ryan Seacrest interviewed him this morning as well.

When Tressel got to OSU

he called out Michigan and talked about how OSU was going to get them. Hopefully, the results are the same here as they’ve been in Columbus.

Right

and look how that played out for tOSU. As you say.

Idiots may giggle and say that Neu hasn’t won a game yet but this is precisely what needs to happen. You hope to get under their skin at the very least. Bulletin board material from your rival is not very effective: you could put pictures of them burning our mascot in effigy every year. Who cares, they hate us and we hate them. Our coach understands the rivalry and that we aren’t ready to surrender football to them anymore.

It’s less ridiculous than them building a professional arena for their basketball team. Should they tear it down because we are the greatest in college basketball? How dare they have the audacity to contest us!

Prodigal son comes home

Bruin AD has made another great decision. Yes he was wrong with his assessment of Doral, but he nailed it with his decision to hire coach Howland. Coach Neuheisel is a proven winner, hired a great Offensive Coord. in Chow. Coach is not afraid to gamble on offense, is not predictable and most importantly can inspire and motivate his team unlike coach Doral.
Go Bruins

p.s. we all need to have patience. Rome was not built in a day!
