As a former member of the band, I’ve always surrounded myself with people who know the words to the fight song. Is this display of a lack of such education (youth) or is it that the general Bruin populace doesn’t know the words? Maybe both?

Whatever the case, they don’t know it, and that’s a problem. I propose as orientation exercise involving the learning of the Mighty Bruins lyrics. They’d do it – people are so overwhelmed by their first real experience on campus during those couple days that they’ll do anything they ask you to.

It’s pretty impressive when the whole of 100,000 people sing Hail to the Victors in Ann Arbor.
