Lorenzo's adventures in Mexico
I don't know if this has been posted here already, but Lorenzo Mata-Real has signed to play for a team in the Mexican League named Halcones Xalapa (The Xalapa Falcons). I
Also, he represented the Mexican national team in the recently finished Centrobasket tournament, which is part of the qualifying for the World Championships.
Even though they had a disappointing tournament and a fifth-place finish, Lorenzo led the team in scoring and rebounds in their last game, a victory over Panama. Carlos Arroyo led Puerto Rico to the championship.
Anyway, it seems from the article that Lorenzo is happy to be playing in Veracruz, Mexico, where he has some family members. It sure seems a much more familiar destination than the ones Michael Fey has had.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.
