WOW
I didn’t realize that Westgate’s return was so far! 77 yards, haha way to go CBS.

How appropriate
That unabashed Trojan shill Jim Hill is forced to swallow his pride (words?) and announce our victory to the southland.

Really, I never got that feeling from him
But then again, the only time I would watch him was during March Madness. Maybe he is one of those “I root for South Central football and UCLA basketball” people.

Sad to say, but true
Steve Hartman, his co-chair is a Bruin alum, and they have gone over this ground in the past on air. Which is weird cuz he is an alum of Texas A&M. Nowadays you have to listen carefully to catch his vibe. But, he was unabashed in his derision during the Steve Lavin era, and I can only imagine it was more of the same for football. But, like you, he mostly only pops up on my radar during tournament time.

Lav
I think everyone, Bruins included, were unabashed in our derision towards UCLA basketball during the Steve Lavin era. Not good times.

Can't blame Hill/Hartman
for being derisive of UCLA “head coach” during the dark years leading up to Howland. We would have done the same.
I don’t think Hill is exciting but I think he is sincere and watching him makes me feel I am hope back in So. Cal.

Neuheisel
One thing I really enjoy about Rick is every time the media keeps trying to make it all about him, he turns it around and makes it about the university, always putting the school first and foremost. Quite a contrast from Pom Pom where everything is about him. In fact, I don’t ever remember hearing him say ‘usc’ in his interviews, but Rick always mentions UCLA.

Yes
UCLA then, now, and FOREVER! Say how about that sweater vest! I want to have a sweater vest theme for the next OC Bruins UCLA Watch party, but no one seems to sell them! Anyone know where I could find them?

Sweater Vest
My room-mate – Buckeyes fan – IMed me this am to congratulate on last night with “LONG LIVE THE SWEATER VEST!” Hope CRN rocks it every game weather permitting.

CRN
could rock the sweater vest in 100 degree weather cuz the guy takes the heat but never seems to sweat! I called the UCLA Store as well and they don’t sell them. Its a shame, cuz after last night’s game they would have sold a TON of them! Well, I guess we could all wear the Norm Chow polo, but everybody already wears those…

There's the celebration in the coach's
box, man we were going nuts in the stadium. After Tenn scored that touchdown we were depressed but Chow and the offense just marched it down. What a complete difference from last year!! Not too much, not to little, just right. And the balls to make a pass to your tide end in the end zone rather than trying to run it in that close to the goal line. Chow IS a genius. We have the best coaches in AMERICA!!

That was the "plan"!
That is why CRN kept saying, if we can keep it close until the 4th quarter, we have a plan where we think we can win. I really think they knew these play calls would be successful, but they didn’t want to trot them out until necessary, as a killing stroke. It worked…twice! Man, do these guys know what they’re doing or what?!
