Baseball Recruiting Class Ranked #6 In Nation
UCLA has reeled up yet another top 10 recruiting class, checking in at #6 this year. What makes the class so impressive is how highly it's ranked despite bringing in only 8 players while every other program in the top 18 had at least 12 signees. 3 of the top 6 ranked classes come from the Pac 10 and 7 of the top 34.

Question, Rye
Can Cole go into the draft after next season? Assuming a decent season, would his signing bonus money be substantially changed from where it was this year with the Evil Empire (sorry, Nestor.) In other words, does he look like a baseball edition of a one-and-done?

Nope
In baseball a player can sign a contract after high school, but if he goes to college he has to stay for 3 years. Cole won’t be eligible for the draft until 2011.

Who went pro?
Did any UCLA-commits gets drafted and opt for the pros? How great could this class have been if they chose to come to school?

Cutter Dykstra was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round (54 overall).
