Mike Leach to be on Jim Rome Friday
Sept. 26. Not sure what time. Rome's show is 9am-12pm PT.
Unlike the tight-lipped, cliché-ridden babble that most coaches offer, Leach says what's on his mind. He actually responded to a request from a fan for advice on dating.
Mike Leach on animatronic pirate skeletons, Van Gogh, Tonga warriors, and Jose Canseco
"Conversate." This guy is a hoot. And, incidentally, I notice his team is winning.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Outstanding
I could listen to this guy all day.
Who has ever heard a weather person take time to describe a personally favorite kind of inclement weather? Leach does so at ~2:30 of the clip.
“My favorite weather pattern happens to be when it rains mud. (Makes sideways swiping gesture with both hands) Dust comes through, (Makes downward-pointing gesture above his head) Rain on top of it. (Points to the ground) It rains mud. Now, I know that people that have been here for a while don’t like that particular phenomenon as well as I do, but think about it. How many times in your life are you actually going to see it rain mud? I love it. I go out there. I look at it. I watch it. Worst thing about it: you have to wash your car. Who cares? It’s worth seeing; trust me.”
It doesn’t appear that having an uptight head coach is one of the football team’s problems.
Leach Was My Favorite in the Coach Search
But, I’m convinced we hired the right guy.
If you like Leach, you’ll love the New York Times article about him: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/04/magazine/04coach.html

Me too
I wanted Leach, particularly after I saw the weather report. But I’m now convinced that Coach Neuheisel was the man for the job and that he will right the ship.
