Sanchez Disgusted by Beaver(s)
By Marcia SCmith, Special to BN
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Not that there is anything wrong with that, though.
In each of the last 2 years Pete Carroll has all but promised national championships for USC's "storied" football program. Yet, despite those implicit assurances, Cal Southern suffered embarrassing losses to lower tier Pac 10 teams each year.
It happened again yesterday with a stunning defeat to the Oregon State Beavers. SC, a 25.5 point favorite on the road, was beaten in every conceivable fashion by the lowly Beavers.
Though he does not throw, run, kick or tackle in the game, Carroll is the one who's fumbling right now.
Since his second year on the job at SC Carroll brashly, if not blindly, raised the Trojan football program's expectations for winning, dominating in the Pac-10, contending for national championships and getting in the facemask of crosstown rival UCLA.
At the time, Carroll's words were a refreshing blast of enthusiastic, albeit hot, air from a program that had long gone stale. The Trojans' seemingly easy victory against a then-No. 5 Ohio State gave Carroll's early optimism some substance.
Down 21-0 at halftime to the Beavers on Thursday, the game was still undecided. Though a few hundred SC fans, including legendary Trojan Will Ferrell, departed shortly before the third quarter, a sizeable, supportive city of Trojan faithful remained to root for a team that hadn't scored an offensive touchdown the entire first half.
The Trojans lost again, convincingly again, but not as badly as in their nightmarish game against Stanford a year ago. And suddenly Carroll's Humanitarian-inspired victory of Game 2 seemed more distant, and the two defeats (Oregon State and Stanford), more pulsing with the kind of disappointment that messes with minds and toy with hearts.

Sound familiar (at least from the fourth paragraph on)?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Like Rats leaving a sinking ship
Or like a flea jumping off a carcass?
This MSM hack, like a politician caught backing the wrong initiative, is doing everything she can to distance itself as quickly as possible. I’m sure her pre-game write up is a glowing testament to all that is right and invincible about USC. Meanwhile according to UniversityofSecondChoice’s great write up “A beautiful day in LA” She is not alone among the MSM.
I’m sure someone at ESPN, who can never get enough of South Central, is yelling at someone else to cover their own behind.

Will Ferrell
“Legendary Trojan” Will Ferrell?
Quite a legend. They must be very proud.

Precisely!
Isn’t that absolutely hilarious?
We have Dr. Bunche (who also presented an Academy Award) and Kareem, they have Will Ferrell and OJ Simpson.
Sounds about right, don’t you think?
(By the way, I think Dr. Bunche would have stayed for the whole game.)

Good One, KK!

Ferrell is a Trojie, though…there’s no escaping that.

When he accepted the job at his alma mater, Neuheisel brashly, if not blindly, raised the Bruin football program’s expectations for winning, dominating in the Pac-10, contending for national championships and getting in the facemask of crosstown rival USC.
At the time, Neuheisel’s words were a refreshing blast of enthusiastic, albeit hot, air from a program that had long gone stale. The Bruins’ overtime upset victory in the Sept. 1 season opener against a then-No. 18 Tennessee gave Neuheisel’s early optimism some substance.
Down 17-10 at halftime to the Wildcats on Saturday, the game was still undecided. Though a few hundred fans, including legendary Bruin basketball coach John Wooden, departed shortly before the third quarter, a sizeable, supportive city of Bruin faithful remained to root for a team that hasn’t scored an offensive touchdown since Game 1.
The Bruins lost again, convincingly again, but not as badly as in their second game, a 59-0 shutout at No. 18 BYU. And suddenly the Neuheisel’s golden-haired surprise victory of Game 1 seemed more distant, and the two defeats, more pulsing with the kind of disappointment that messes with minds and toy with hearts.

THANKS KK
This is just more proof that her writing, if you can call it that, is copy paste garbage.
