Tailgating at the UCLA WSU game..
I'm a UCLA grad (1991) that now lives in West Bloomfield, Michigan. We are going to the UCLA vs WSU game (with my wife and two kids) and would like to know where to go for a tailgating party! Do I just go the stadium and bring my pigskin to toss around? Approximately what time does the team and CHEERLEADERS arrive at THE Rose Bowl? I haven't been to a game since 1990 so it will be a moving experience..can't wait!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

So cool!
The team arrives about 2 1/2 hours before the game. They will walk through the crowd in lot H right by the official UCLA Bruin Gameday Party. Here is a link to the map so you can see when the team will enter: http://www.bruingameday.ucla.edu/map.html.
GO BRUINS!!!

Gameday Party
I would highly recommend going to the tailgate party on the above link 11 posted. It is under a large tent so it never gets too hot. There is also a section outside the tent if you prefer. The food is great -catered by Bristol Farms. It is a buffet – all you can eat. There is also a bar – all you can drink as well. They have 6 TV’s set up so you can watch different games. The band and cheerleaders always stop by to lead cheers. You can take pictures with them and get autographs. The kids would love it! Also, you will be right there when the team buses pull up so you can see the team and coaches up close. When you leave, you can grab bottles of water to take into the Rose Bowl and kettle corn too. We started going 2 years ago and have never benn disappointed.

4:45 p.m.
The Bruin bus is scheduled to arrive at the “Tunnel of Love” at the Bowl at 4:45. This is per CRN’s interview today. Does anybody know if the team still stays at the Ritz Carlton on Friday night. Years ago we used to hang out with the team at the lobby.

I'm not sure, but I don't think they do......
Of course the coaching change may have altered things, but I know I was following the team bus/CHP motocade up the 405 to the E 210 on the afternoon of the Notre Dame game.
I may work with the Waves, but I'm still a Bruin!

I'm not sure if they still do either...
but I know they did last year for the Notre Dame game. I stayed at that hotel the night before that game and the team was there. It is no longer a Ritz-Carlton so I don’t know if that changed things or not.

Hmmm, I am wondering...
if the buses I saw on the E 210 were the ND team buses?? Odd.

Suggestion to Duramax...
If you are driving to the game and not planning on setting up your own tail gate, I strongly suggest riding the shuttle buses from the Parson’s Industries lot. The cost is only $2.00 per person and they drop you off right in from of the Rose Bowl very close to Area H. It’s a lot less hassle than parking out at the back end of the golf course. We’re season ticket holders and we started doing this two years ago.
