C is for unClassy Trojans
Seems like its not only Bruins who recognize the class difference at U$C. While the trojans are letting this get under their skin, this shouldn't surprise anyone who knows the amount of infractions this school collects or allows their players to commit.
From ESPN:
Small cites 'class' difference between OSU and USC

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The two teams that meet next week at the L.A. Coliseum have enjoyed tremendous success with dramatically different philosophies.
Ohio State wide receiver Ray Small pointed out some of those differences after Saturday's too-close-for-comfort 26-14 win against Ohio. Small, like several players in the Ohio State-USC game, visited both schools during the recruiting process.
"As I took my visit to USC, I'm like, 'How are they successful? They're not even serious about the game,'" said Small, who caught five passes and had a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown against Ohio. "Before the game, they're all going crazy. Me and [Buckeyes defensive end] Rob Rose was on the visit and I'm looking like, 'Wow.' And then the coach said, 'You better get out of here. It's 'bout to get hectic.'
"And then I come [to Ohio State] on the visit and before the game, it's all quiet, everybody getting taped, coaches talking. It's the total opposite."
Small can't figure out how two divergent programs achieve such similar results. But he knows he made the right choice with the Buckeyes.
"It's more of a class thing," he said. "We took what [former USC quarterback] Carson Palmer said. I don't think somebody from Ohio State would have ever said that remark."
Palmer, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, sounded off in July, telling an L.A. radio station how he "cannot stand the Buckeyes and having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts." He later apologized, saying he does respect the Buckeyes.
"Here at Ohio State, they teach you to be a better man," Small said. "There, it's just all about football."

I haven't been that crazy about Ohio State
But if this is true (and I have no reason to believe that it is not) then they have gained some points in my book.
Did Troy Aikman ever sound off before we played Texas or Texas A&M, saying that he couldn’t stand Cowboys fans talking about their school? I don’t think so.
Is it any wonder why so many people across the country hate them?

Poor comment from Small
not only is this bulletin board material, but tOSU hasn’t been the cleanest program either. Without even going back to Woody Hayes, you have guys like Maurice Clarett and a host of others arrested. Their issues aren’t breaking NCAA rules, but it’s not as if the Buckeyes have been model citizens.

Trojans know to wait until after the game to talk smack
Does anybody remember (I forget the year) how Mike Williams talked trash after the UCLA/USC game? He singled out Tyler Ebell for scorn and said some pretty disdainful things about UCLA in general. Yet, before the game he was on a ESPN Live Chat and given the opportunity to talk smack, said nothing negative, and did make some positive comments how UCLA is a good school, etc.
I lost a lot of respect for him after that. He was an incredible talent in college, haven’t heard much about since he left though.

Actually, I remember one instance when they did
In 1998, R. Jay Soward (another one we haven’t heard much from since he left) said he exaggerated an injury on TV to sucker us in. I read the quote to one of my sorority sisters, who said deadpan, “We just have to beat those fuckers.” We did.

Wow
So we are not the only people who see what they are all about. I don’t like that he provided bulletin board material but he hit the nail on the head!
I had not seen that gross hot dog ad before. Thanks for runing my appetite. LOL

This buffoon could be a Troylet. He uses “me” instead of “I.” Of course, the Troylets won’t see the problem when his smack is posted on their bulletin board. They’ll probably think his eloquence is Shakespeare,

Dummies
Given that a friend of mine was the v-p for academic affairs at OSU, it’s pretty depressing to read the Ray Small quote. Not only does he use “me” for “I,” he uses the singular verb “was” for the two of them. As disdainful as I am of $C, I’m not sure that kid could have gotten in there. I know he wouldn’t have made it at Westwood. I guess being a Buckeye doesn’t entail much in the way of literacy. No wonder they dominate a conference that has some of the best academic state universities in the country.

Disagree, H
Other than the QB pretty-boys, who gobble hot dogs and inseminate indiscriminately, the folks at justsc are generally inarticulate buffoons. What they do learn over there, before they drop out, is how not to speak Spanish from Sra. Ross and how not to ballroom dance. I’m sure tOSU has a vp of academic affairs. I’m equally sure that justsc has no academic affairs at all.
There is truth to the old bromide about the guy who flunked out of UCLA and enrolled at justsc and raised the gpa at both places.

This describes the pregram ritual Small mentioned.

Well...
Maybe Carson Palmer’s comments weren’t completely classy, but at the same time I think he was just trying to be candid and have a little fun. Carroll may do things differently than Tressel, but I think that is hardly grounds for sweeping judgments about class with regards to USC and the people who have chosen to attend USC. Although I have to admit that the whole “Most Superficial School” piece on USC was pretty funny.

This isn't just about Carson Palmer's comments.
While I just believe this was only a glimpse of a player poking fun at a school in a state where he may, oh just play in. It delves into an issue that people have seen plenty of. JustSC does things differently. Frankly, its not like Ohio St. runs the cleanest program, but it seems that there is a lack of respect at SC for maintaining and following rules. There is hardly justice that comes down and most people tend to believe you can just buy your way out of issues, and while most people tend to take advantage of this it shouldn’t be allowed in a system where schools should be held accountable for their player’s actions. Granted, this latter issue isn’t being addressed with these comments it demonstrates a mentality held in SouthCentral for classless behavior. And trying to get pass off issues.

Trojie Class
I just walked down to the lunch room in our otherwise-upscale office building. I noticed some Trojie Bandwagoner had posted in his cube a picture of the cartoon kid urinating, with a message about beating OSU.
He no doubt thinks he’s showing the world how wrong Ray Small’s opinion is.
