Welcome to another LATE SHOW on BN. Ben Ball warriors are on the "road" for another game before they come back to Pauley.
Once again our guys should expect an intense effort for yet another Pac-10 opponent that will try to come up with their season defining win at the expense of the four letter word stitched infront of our guys uniforms. This is their Final-4 playing in front a sold out crowd at home perhaps the only time this season.
So Coach Howland will be looking for an intense effort on defense from JS, DG and rest of their team-mates tonight at the Costco Center. If we can play our brand of our defense and rally behind the senior leadership of DC, AA2, and JS on the offensive side of the ball we are going to be all right:

It’s UNC. The other team (aside from the Dukies, of course) that Dickie V can’t seem to stop getting on his knees for. I would not be surprised to see ACC-SPN keep UNC in the top 10.

Refs making their presence felt in the 1st half
Half our guys have 2 or 3 fouls. Love it when the refs make themselves so important.
Gotta say
I am disappointed at the way Trojans have outhustled us on the boards and played better defense since Gibson left the game.
We will see how we come out in the second half. We have to do a better job than we did in our last two games on that front.
Our guys seem to be in bad positions
like we’re not boxing out and there’s always a USC guy RIGHT UNDER the board.
I hate to admit it
USC currently has the better story. Underdogs. Minus Washington and Gibson. Only down 2 after seeming out of the game the first five minutes. Struggles back in on hustle play.
We need to turn this around.
We cannot come out weak to start the second half
We need to come out the way we played the first few minutes — and we have to stay at that level for the remainder of the game.

We’ve played deep and our freshmen have minutes.
JS and ND not shooting well — ND shot selection issues again. MR has taken 2 shots, DC 4 and JH6. All of them should shoot more. DC and JH should slash — especially if they can put #4 on Gibson.
They’ve shot 4 more ft’s than we have.

Good: 65% shooting
JH: 4-6 from the 2, 3-4 from the 3.
DC: 3-6 from the 2, 1-2 from the 3 (but really 1-1 since the second was a full court shot)
Bad: 29% shooting
JS: 1-4 from the 2, 0-1 from the 3.
ND: 2-6 from the 2, 1-3 from the 3.
James Keefe rebounding well, nobody else is.
our D make me kind of sick
in the first half. Until a couple of late offensive fouls and a DeRozan mistake, we had forced 0 turnovers. No steals, with our guards? And time after time, USC is getting to loose balls, taking advantage of us on the boards and beating us one on one. Unless our defense improves significantly in the 2nd half, it’s could be a long and frustrating night. Let’s go Bruins! Pick it up!
The problem with this is
we need a perimeter game, but we need to be able to drive in as needed, when our perimeter game isn’t going down. Otherwise we’re just duke
