According to the Denver Bronco faithful at Mile High Report and The National Football Post U$C has named former Broncos QB coach Jeremy Bates as an assistant coach
Bates helped coach Jay Cutler and the Bronco offense to become the #2 ranked offense in the league this year second to only the Saints. After the coaching change in Denver it was thought Bates would either be promoted to OC of the Broncos or let go of as new HC McDaniels brought in his own staff. Lane Kiffin reportedly tried to hire Bates for the OC position at Tennessee as well, but Bates chose to go to the dark side.
The National Football Post has just been informed that former Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates has accepted an offer to become an assistant coach at the University of Southern California.
Bates, a six year NFL veteran, has spent the last three years in Denver as the quarterbacks/wide receivers coach. Prior to joining the Broncos in 2006, Bates worked for the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
