UCLA's John Williams composes for Obama Inauguration.
Everybody knows John Williams for his scores of Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark. But few know he is a Bruin! I was proud to hear that he had scored the piece played by Yo Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman.
Today was a good day for the country.

Also…I know there are BN’ers who love a good marching band, and I sincerely hope that—regardless of your politics—you are watching this parade. These bands are just marvelous, braving the bitter cold and playing their hearts out. Sure, some are better than others, but they are all inspiring.

I live in DC, and was lucky enough to go to the mall yesterday! It was amazing, but I would have loved to see the Bruin Marching band! Perhaps next time!
Also, I had no clue John Williams was a bruin until I checked out this post. Very cool. What a wonderful day for our country!
