Toma wins skills challenge
Looks like he might have been a little underrated. Looking forward to seeing him in Westwood next year.

Beat me to it!
Again looks like Chow knew what he was doing. Remember all the geniuses on message boards questioning the coach’s decision to offer this kid a scholie?
i watched this live
and i was really impressed. Not all of the passes were right to his chest. He was catching balls on the run, reaching all over the place. Really impressive performance
And as much as i hate the patriots, i sure wouldn’t mind a wes welker type WR on our Bruins…
I admit I knew nothing of this kid
But I won’t say no to another young, underrated kid with solid hands who’s willing to haul it in no matter how hard the coming hit will be…like Taylor Embree. ;)
Don't forget that Embree, too, was underrated.
Just as LSAT’s don’t predict success in law school, so too stars don’t predict success on the playing field.
Yes, Nestor, Chow does know what he’s doing!!!!
sjh
Oh I know
Wasn’t he just one star on Scout?
Physically, maybe he deserved the one star. But stars don’t account for heart, dedication, and willingness to take a shot to make a catch.
Yes, 1-star by Scout
And does not even show up on Rivals.com. Either way, the lowest rated recruit in any of the last 3 classes.
Not on Scout
Are you talking about Embree or Toma?
My understanding is that the stars are what they were rated in high school; the ratings don’t change as they progress in college.
So for Embree, it wouldn’t change, but for Toma, in light of what he’s doing and the press he’s gotten of late, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him jump up.
Was talking about Toma
I will link it next time I read about it. I thought I had read somewhere that Toma would be upgraded to a 3 star recruit.
Can't underestimate the Pressley commit
But, we need a few Toma’s (and Embree’s) also – guys with big upside that are under the national radar. Props to CRN for signing this kid.
How is in involved in the Under Armor All Americans?
I was very surprised to see his name involved as an Under Armor all american…
Doesn’t ESPN list him as the #126th WR in his class? How did he make the Under Armor game with guys like Hasiak, Pressley, and Brehaut? I thought only the top 10 or so players at each position only would have a chance at being invited?
does anybody know
if Brehaut participated in this event? If so, how did he do?
