SuC about to lose its DC to Udub, will Petey promote Kenny?
This is going to be a lot of fun.
Petey is about to lose Nick Holt, his DC to Steve Sarkasian:
Goodbye Nick Holt By Scott Wolf on January 5, 2009 9:32 AMWashington announced a press conference for 3 p.m. to announce its new defensive coordinator.
Sark and Nick have been talking.
Now Petey along with Nehueisel will be on the market for a new DC.
The easy question then is if Kenny is so good will Petey promote his poodle to become his next DC?
Will Petey reward Kenny for his poodle like loyalty or expose him for what he is: a fingertaper who is not ready to be a DC?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Well he might promote Kenny
because PC is the DC. Think about it, why would Holt leave to be a DC at a less prestigous Pac 10 school if he were really the DC at SUC? Carroll runs the defense and the finger taper will just be another in a long line of figure heads if he’s selected.

Right
So if Petey doesn’t promote Kenny then it would be expose Kenny as nothing but a fingertaped jackass. Right?

Isn't he already exposed as a fingertaped jackass?
Or is he exposed as a disloyal bumbling doofus?
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

may be Streeter will bash Petey?
if he doesn’t make Kenny the next SuC DC?

That's not likely to happen, Streeter will give him a free pass
I was once a huge supporter of trying to bring Norton back home. But, after all these shanagans, I’m leaning toward letting him stay at SUC. Come to think of it, does any one know of any good DCs who are on the market? None cross my mind.

I think he passes on Norton
and promotes Rocky Seto.

Bingo
Really doesn’t matter though. Cheatey runs the defense and pretty much everything else. Holt is taking a paycut (supposedly was making $500K) to go to UDUB. Holt gets control though and if he is part of the turnaround, you can bet he’ll get some prime looks for HC positions in the future.
Rocky and Kenny. Sounds like 2 lil pound puppies to me. :P

Ditto to Silverlake
My vote is he will promote Kenny, because PC is the real defensive coordinator over there.
Also, in answer to ncrpz: I’m really high on John Thompson for DC. The name came up in an earlier post about replacing DW. He has 19 years experience as a DC and many more intangibles that would prove very attractive to UCLA.

John Thompson
According to the ‘all-knowing and all-seeing’ wikipedia John Thompson is the AD with Central Arkansas. Do you think he would leave a cushy AD job for DC with UCLA? The possiblity seems a little remote, although he is an attractive pick.

I still think we ought to take a look at TCU for a DC.

That would be sweet
They had a monstrous defense this year, one of the best. I’m not sure if we stand a chance of luring him or not, but it would be pretty cool. I know I would approve.
