Yet another Final Four? It's possible for Collison
Good article on Darren Collison in The Oregonian. Nice to see a rival publication giving him some ink.

Eye of the Hurricane
Great write up from The Oregonian. I especially loved this part:
As Oregon continued to try to rally, Collison was the eye of the hurricane, so very calm against Oregon’s frantic defense.
I couldn’t think of a better analogy. You can just tell when DC is on the court, he is in complete control of the game. This is evident in his mindset:
“Continue to get stops, and as soon as you get the ball, just relax, stay poised, get a good shot,” Collison said. “You don’t want to get sped up and start going wild to the basket. That’s what they want. You want to play your game, not their game.”
And the best part:
“I said what I wanted to do, and that’s win a national championship, and I’ve had four years to do it,” Collison said. “If I don’t do it, at least I can say I took four years to try and accomplish that.”
With that type of leadership, no matter what obstacles come up this season, I am confident DC and the rest of the Bruins will be able to handle it.
Go Bruins!

An Awesome Bruin
Great article. Darren is one of my all time favorite Bruins – I may shed a tear this year on senior day!

Wow.
What an amazing young gentleman our DC is. He continues to impress with his class, depth of character, and terrific talent. The question is, who wouldn’t want this person to lead their team?
We Bruins are blessed, we truly are.

PS,
I’m sorry, but when I read or hear DC talk about the game of basketball, or about his teammates, I start to imagine what an outstanding, significant coach he would be…far, far into the future, of course, after he retires from the NBA…

Great read
Better than most of the articles we see here in LA. I’m glad he’s getting recognition out of state. DC is the real deal and I am going to miss this kid when he graduates and goes top 5 in the draft (with a degree to boot).

I love DC but...
I can’t see him going top 5.
I think he will be more like LRMAM, a later pick that makes an instant impact wherever he goes. Some team is going to get a bargain.

We are SOOOOO lucky
that he stayed. I will never forget that he delayed the NBA million$$ for one more year at UCLA.

Class act
Apart from being an excellent athlete, he’s intelligent, thoughtful, modest and eloquent.
How often can you say all that about an athlete? Or about anyone?
DC is indeed a class act.
