Wow, this one has a little bite. From Scott Wolf's blog today, this quote from former Pete Carroll stooge Nick Holt............

``I'm working for the best head coach in America now.''

I don't care what the deal is, but most people would not give that type of statement, unless there was some sort of animosity or something in USC land. Apparently, working for Cheaty isn't all it is cracked up to be. Either that, or Sarkisian is the greatest guy in the world, which I doubt.

Chow hating Petey.
Walker not being too enamored of Petey.
Now Holt taking this subtle shot at Petey.

That did seem like a jab to me

Tho to be fair, during the same press conference, Holt did call Carroll “the best defensive mind in football.”

My own reading of the tea leaves is that Holt left USC because he wanted to make the defensive calls on gameday, which is not something that was ever going to happen while working with Carroll.

Does Anyone Else Ever Wonder

why these folks can’t just keep certain thoughts to themselves, and just try to interject some class and dignity into the whole thing?

Seriously—I couldn’t care less about Pete Carroll’s feelings, believe me—is it that hard to just shut up and move on? This just makes Holt sound like another Cheatie, instead of a cut above.
