Dewayne Walker Update

http://crucessports.blogspot.com/2009/10/what-can-you-say.html

Just wanted to send you a update on how Walker is doing so far with New Mexico State.  A huge difference with him as coach.  The entire team is playing as a "team"! It hasn't been pretty, but the results have showed a 3 and 3 record so far.  Major improvement is self disclipline as a overall team!  He is making you all proud!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Thanks for the update.

I think DW will make a fine head coach — he wasn’t right for us, but I love his passion and commitment. And, he recruits very well.

I agree

I thought he would be a good head coach, but we needed someone who could compete against Carroll for talent, media attention, and raise fan excitement and that wasn’t going to be a first year head coach, regardless of his resume.

This is a good report

New Mexico State has been a non-factor forever. They are looking much better this season.
