I agree
he reminds somewhat of the ASU coach before Erickson. Always got ranked high at the beginning of the year and always disappointed.

I’m not saying that he’s terrible, but he hasn’t been able to wrangle a “great” season yet.

it’s too late at night for me to get into a debate about what a “great” season is, but Cal has two 10 win seasons and a 9 win season under Tedford who took over a team that I think won one game.
In my book, Nestor’s comment that he did a decent job building a program pretty much spot on.
He’s also very boring.
but just to clear things up
I was trying to say that he has yet to produce the National Championship hype that his recruiting suffices AFTER week 5

But I’ll take dry, boring coach-speak over “interesting” and ultimately regrettable comments from coaches like Lane Kiffin.
