Cal linebacker Mychal Kendricks guarantees victory.
"We have to win every game for now on," Kendricks said. "We can’t lose again. I don’t think we are, either. Actually, I know we’re not."
When asked about the team’s confidence this week against UCLA, he said: "We’re going to win this week." When a reporter asked if he wanted to guarantee that, Kendricks simply repeated: "We’re going to win this week."

haha
why do these knuckleheads create bulletin board material? not that it makes much of a difference once you get on the field.

I dont think its about creating bulletin board material, I just think its about having a positive attitude and faith that you can get it done. I’d want our players to believe that they would win against Cal and every other game after that as well. Think the quote’s kind of blown out of proportion, all he really said was that Cal would win this week against UCLA, coming from a guy on a team that has lost two straight and needs to get things turned around I certainly understand where it’s coming from.

I actually agree jt
I have read that piece few times. I don’t think it’s any different than some of the chatter we have seen from Reggie Carter or Bruce Davis. He seems confident. I don’t think he disrespected UCLA in any way. Perhaps others disagree. But not seeing it.

Not as inflammatory as Ed Ogre of Tennessee's comments, no.
Or, as bad as LaGarrette Blount’s comments about Boise State. (Both of which came back to haunt them)
But, he’s still calling us out. I think it should be enough for at least one or two highlights at his expense. A tough run for a 1st down. A hard block that springs the ball carrier for 5 extra yards. Players are extremely competitive and somebody will remember his comments.

well
generally you would also say something about the other team, to show respect for your opponent. he didn’t do that. i have no problem with players believing they can win every game. most players feel confident…these are DI athletes. but you can bet your ass this is bulletin board material…$10 says CRN has this up in the locker room.

Yeah probably
I am definitely all for getting our guys fired up any way we can. Let’s hope they are ready to go for full 60 mins on Sat.
