Cal plays D with only ten men ... but manage to score on our offense anyway.

Yikes

I was yelling for KP to throw it to Logan but did not know they only had 10 on the field. They had 10 on 2 consecutive plays yet we failed to take advantage. I was probably in shock from seeing Kendrick take it to the house.

Thanks

10 guys on D plus he was wide open for the TD. I’m officially sick once again.

This was truly a team loss. The defense didn’t tackle, KP threw a bad INT (but had good numbers overall), and there were some bad dropped passes.

Rosario dropped some huge ones

That one at the beginning of the clip. I thought it was good watching from the student section.

The dropped pass at the endzone at 1st half.

The dropped TD pass

was big. You just cannot drop balls in the endzone. We can’t knock the coaches or playcalling for being conservative or for always kicking FGs when TDs are literally in our hands.

experience

Being young, I’m sure KP just got a tad too excited and a) locked onto Logan Paulsen, therefore giving the pass route away) and b) got too excited and hurried his throw. Hopefully as he gets more experience he will learn to maybe pump fake it or look off the safety/linebacker and then make that throw.

KP said he didnt want to overthrow him

After the game, KP said that the reason he threw the interception was because he didn’t want to overthrow Paulson and short armed it. Consequently, instead of putting it only where his receiver could catch it and overthrow Paulson, he threw it straight at a defender. But to do that with only 10 people on the field, damn, that is embarrassing.

Short arm

Dude, even if the LB didn’t int it, the
pass would have been underthrown by 5
yards. Lol. It was only one bad throw. He will
get better.

humiliating

It’s officially as bad as it can get. Nowhere to go but up? I guy can hope right?

Positive

Nowhere but up. I’m being positive with all this. Who is our quarterback? Kevin Prince, a red shirt freshman who hasn’t played football in like 2 years. I don’t blame anything on Kevin Prince, especially against Oregon and Cal. I was surprised by our offense (against Cal) since they actually tried going deep and many times it was the fault of the WRs dropping these passes.

We lost the game because of our defense. You can’t give up that many big plays and win the game.

And about Sheldon Price (since I’ve been hearing about this for the last 3 games)…he is playing because I think the coaches believe he is the future starter at the position, he is tall and athletic. That just shows what the coaches are really aiming for this season, which is to develop these youngster by giving them playing experience for the seasons to come.

6-6 should be the goal and it is only to build confidence as well as help in recruiting.

WTF

10 people = automatic score !!!! This is f**ckin even worse! I was wondering why the space behind the linebackers was empty in that defensive set. The game was already over but still….

The game was not over.

A lob pass, a catch, a touchdown. A one time good defense (it was better in the second half wasn’t it?) for a 3 and out and we can strick and win. Look at Paulson, he was slowing down and getting ready for a lob. Rusty quarteback for sure.
