MTV christens the Rose Bowl as the home of U$C* football
According to MTV, the Rose Bowl is "the home of the University of Southern California football team." Inhabiting the stadium throughout the fall apparently isn't enough for us to call the place home; we have to win a few Rose Bowls to get the title back! Maybe this kind of journalism will motivate our Bruins to find the elusive "focus" that will enable them to catch footballs and make tackles.
By the way, are there any Bruins Nation gatherings at the Rose Bowl? I'll be in town for the UCLA vs. Washington game and figured I'd see who else will be there.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

I do not perceive this to be a slight against UCLA.
It is MTV, for God’s sake. They don’t know their sports from a hole in the ground. If you asked most casual sports fans west of the Mississippi where USC and UCLA played their home games I bet half of them would give incorrect answers.

Unless they perceive an athlete to be hot
Then MTV will be all over it…and give said athlete a crappy reality show.

We’ll also be at the Washington game, tailgating nice and early.

Warning - Geezerness alert
I can’t really think of anything MTV has gotten right. For one thing, MTV labels certain performers as “artists” when in fact the absence of talent in those people is palpable. I must, however, applaud the people at MTV for one thing. They are consistent. I think they get it wrong ever time. Look for the headline tonight about the Yankees opening the Super Bowl at Fenway Park.

I can't really blame MTV
Until we show we belong with the big dogs, then the only relevant game at the Rose Bowl is the Jan 1 game.
It’s all about the coaches changing the reality of UCLA football, which will then change the perception of UCLA football by the media, including MTV.
