Around SBN: Tim Wakefield Retires

Last year he shredded the Trojans for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns as a true freshman. Last weekend, he ran for ove 100 yards and a score on a sprained ankle. As a soph. he "ranks second in the nation with 14 rushing touchdowns and 10th with 115 yards rushing per game. He's also caught 42 passes for 279 yards with a touchdown." He ripped us for 144 yards at the Rose Bowl last year.

Can our defense bottle him up with a gimpy Reggie Carter? I am not sure.

No, we can't stop Quizz

But we can sure try by loading 8 in the box and run blitzing the hell out of them. Although I’m sure Bullough will just sit back and let them torch us. Ugh.

We can't load up the box

or they’ll burn you over the top. SC’s still smokin. They were one stupid penalty from losing that game. I love Quizz, he is a phenomenal talent. Maybe he’ll retweak that ankle in practice? Hey, Bulloughs got a tough job. Welcome to the Pac-10

I’d rather get beat by Canfield than Quizz. It’s obvious that our pass defense is much stronger than our run defense. Pick your poison.

Brother please

I am just hoping for a moral victory at this point.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

If we're sure to lose, why bother playing?

Come on, guys. How many thought we had a chance before the game that ended 13-9? If we have an inspired game by lots of people, and if each of our guys lines up and whips the guy across from him, then we have a chance to win this.
