Last time SUC gave up more points?
From ESPN analysis of Oregon/SC game, by Ted Miller. Note the last sentence. GO BRUINS
"Record performance: Oregon's 47 points was the most it has ever scored against USC in 56 meetings. Ducks have scored 34 twice before against the Trojans. It's the most points a Pete Carroll USC team has ever surrendered. Previous worst was 42 in a win over Fresno State in 2005. Last time the Trojans gave up more points? 1996, vs. UCLA (48)."

when will usc learn that you can not win ncg without a duel threat qb
you think they would have learned when vince young ran for the final td in that ncg.every national champion since was either duel threat or 2 qb system. matt barkley is just a drop back passer, usc got what they deserve, a beatdown by a team with a duel threat qb.

Since 2000
only 2 national championship teams’ #1 QB has not been conventional pocket passer. Tim Tebow last year and Vine Young. That’s it. Matt Flynn, Chris Leake, Matt Leinart, Matt Mauck, Craig Krenzel, Ken Dorsey, Josh Heupel. Good try though.

you obviously can't read it says 2 qb system too. which florida used in first championship and lsu used in theirs
sorry to dissapoint you. i know it hurts that you guys got beatdown by oregon. barkley will never win the ncg. either will aaron corp. peace

Sorry, but I'm not calling a 2 QB system
when a guy played in 7 of the team’s 14 games (Tebow’s freshman year) and 6 of the 14 games (LSU in 2007). I never defended Barkley or Corp either, just the ability to win a title with a conventional pocket passer and tomorrow when the polls come out, 5 of the nation’s top 8 teams will be led by pocket passers.

Sorry wolfman
You shouldn’t suggest that one of the most respected members of Bruinsnation “can’t read” when you write “duel” when you obviously mean “dual.”

when florida or texas wins the ncg this year it will be a duel threat qb
it’s four out of eight . tebow, mccoy, andy dalton (tcu’s qb since i think that is the one you missed)and masoli. sorry to dissapoint again.

Dalton's longest run of the year is 18 yards
he’s averaging under 4 yards a carry and the two games he’s had the most rushing attempts were TCU’s least productive offensive games of the year. Sure, if you want to call him a dual threat QB, that’s okay, but he’s not an effective dual threat QB.
by Ryan Rosenblatt on Oct 31, 2009 11:44 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
he is a jr. why don't you look at his first two years. he is 27-4 as a starter
tcu also has running back by committee. 7 players rushed the ball for tcu today. i think the total was around 390 yards. as for dual and duel. since we are talking about qb’s and qb’s lead the team.in many people’s minds they are two dueling qb’s on opposite teams but your right, the correct term is dual.

So every time you make a point
I refute it and you just move onto something else because you have no actual support for any of your claims. I never said said Dalton wasn’t a good QB and I have a tremendous amount of respect for the TCU program. I said Dalton wasn’t an effective dual threat QB because they’re best when he stays in the pocket and throws from there. As for their running back by committee system, I don’t see what that has to do with your ridiculous assertion that you need a dual threat QB to win a national title. It all goes back to that because that is what this all started with and it has been proven to be non-sense. Your 2 QB systems were 2nd QB’s who played at most half of the team’s games so that’s 2 dual threat QB’s in this decade who have won national titles, while only 3 of the nation’s top 8 teams are led by dual threat QB’s. Even if you call Dalton one, that’s 4 of 8, hardly a number that indicates you need a dual threat QB. Now, I’m going to go out now and enjoy my Halloween, you keep throwing nonsense out there and hoping it sticks.

it's november 1st. halloween is over.
tim tebow was effective vs ohio state. so was the guy who played at lsu vs osu. what is wrong with an 18 yard run. stop being bitter that it was a bad day for usc and ucla. considering tcu had to play in the worst weather conditions of the year at colorado springs. temp with windchill was 18 degrees at gametime. another game was an all day rainy affair so that might be why his average yards per carry is not up to your standards. happy halloween and better luck next year. peace be wth you.

Everyone knows the best Halloween parties are those that end before midnight
You must be a blast.

You should really try reading Rye's arguments.
Maybe you’ll learn something.

This guy has to be Bill & Ted in his Halloween costume
Wolf, you have been thoroughly beaten down by fact-based analysis and argument. Just admit it and move on.

Plaudits to a "duel-threat" speller
Maybe when wolfmanshowforever is wearing that Halloween costume, he can’t see what he’s typing. It’s easy to miss a key or two and type duel instead of dual, or your instead of you’re. Once in a while, even without a costume, my fingers keep typing suc when I mean to say usc.
By the way, since when did Halloween end before the stroke of midnight? Tell that to all the Jasons, ghouls, and werewolves out there.
It’s too bad UCLA slogged through most of the game against Oregon State, but I’m not the least bit bitter the Trojans got their comeuppance. I watched the game in a restaurant, and there was a large group from U$C nearby (out here in the Midwest, of all places). I had never before seen so much mustard and ketchup in a restaurant. That turned out to be a remarkably quiet group of Trojans.

nitpickers everywhere on these blogs. as for ucla, last time utah played you ben olsen's jaw was
broken and whatever happened to him.you your bruins were crushed. you also lost to byu when they blocked your field goal. you also lost to wyoming in the vegas bowl b/c we know you guys can’t play when it’s under 50 degrees. peace be with you and hopefully a winning season.

Picking Nits
Wolfie,
Rye engaged your argument in a pretty respectful fashion. He also focused on your argument. It wasn’t until you started acting like a bit of an a*hole that people started “nitpicking.” This last post, by the way, does not absolve you of the a*hole tag, rather it adheres it to you even more. Peace (or do I mean piece?) be with you too.
