Hasiak on Indefinite Leave
Jon Gold reports that he has traveled back to Hawaii and has not been with the team the past couple of games. We don't know what kinds of issues he's going through here so let's please not go too crazy with speculation. Could be something simple; some kids don't handle leaving the islands as well as others. Lots of kids from my graduating class started out at mainland colleges but went home after a year and never came back. I've been through it. It can be a tough transition, especially from there. Hopefully Stan is able to resolve whatever it is and resume his studies. Best of luck to him.
(Yes, I realize what I just did was speculate. Sorry.)

Wow
That’s a bummer. I had noticed he wasn’t playing but I had thought it was because he is hurt. I hope things get worked out and he comes back to play soon! GO BRUINS!!!

What a buzz killer!
Stan if you’re reading this, I hope you know how much you mean to us, and how much you mean to the future of this team.
I sincerely hope it’s just a case of the homesick blues and he’s able to move past this and come back a happy camper.

overly optimistic
I don’t want to be a downer but I truly believe he is home for good. Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so. This is sonny Tevega all over again.
Sorry.

I am just not going to speculate
However, I do know that this kid has just a little more talent than Tevaga. And I have full confidence in Neuehisel is making sure we do everything to help him out w whatever he needs. I will just leave it at that and assume the best outcome.
I don't think it's fair to draw conclusions one way or the other
I realize invited it by talking about a possible scenario but that’s as far as I’ll go as I think we all need to respect his privacy because for all we know it could be something more personal than what I posted.
Good Lord
Some of the comments on the DN Blog are just absurd. Do any of these people remember what it was like to be a freshman in college?
I figured based on a lot of the speculation that it might be homesickness or some depression related to being so far from home, but to hear it from the people on the DN site, it’s as if Stan’s homesickness is some sort of perennial weakness that no one else has ever suffered. Yeesh. Show some compassion, people.
