So much for Darrell Scott...
According to the LA Times, UCLA is NOT interested in the former five star recruit (all the way at the bottom...)

Makes sense, seeing the depth at RB. Still, nothing wrong with having an abundance of running backs, especially one who brings a little bit of a different look from our speedy running backs. Oh well, maybe he's not as impressive as he once was.

D Scott
watch a ton of both CU and UCLA football (alum at both) and I am not really bothered by much of this at all. It definitely hurts CU more to lose Scott than it does for UCLA to not gain him; however, I don’t think he has really adjusted to the college game yet nor likely will. The critics of Hawkins at CU say he misused Scott in his 1.5 years, but I never saw anything from Scott justifying more playing time. On the flip side, I am much more comfortable with Franklin, Knox, Thigpen, Coleman, and the incoming guys (Barr?, James?) than rolling the dice with a HS superstar who hasn’t done squat in college. Ben Olsen anyone?
We're loaded at running back
and we could still have more coming in so I have no issue with us passing on him. I still maintain that he would make a tremendous fullback and if he was willing to make the move, I’d love to bring him in to play there, but I doubt he has any interest in moving from RB.

Not too worked up about this
We have Malcolm Jones in the fold in this year’s recruiting class and we might get one more. Plus our current RBs are young with a lot of upside IMO.
Good luck to Scott wherever he ends up.
hmmmm. Not sure how i feel about this.
While i agree with others, we have plenty of horses in the stable; D Scott is (or was) a tremendous athlete. It never hurts to have a lot of athletes on your team. CFB history is dotted with guys that couldn’t crack the line up at their chosen position and worked their way onto the field by switching positions.
At any rate, I’m sure the coaches know what they are doing. I wish Scott the best of luck where ever he lands.
