Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

BN Gameday: Washington State Open Thread

UCLA Bruins at Washington St. Cougars, Nov 14, 2009 2:00 PM PST

As Reggie Carter said Bruins have to "go in and fight." Here is to our guys getting started on the same note they did against Tennessee (last time they won a game on the road). Of course we can't count on a victory just by depending on our defense (like we did in Neyland Stadium). We are going to need to the entire team make a statement early on and clicking on all cylinders.

If you still need to get caught up on all of our notes concerning this game from last few weeks, you can do so by checking out our full coverage here. If you are looking to track the game online you can also keep your tabs open to the official site and WWL.

So ready or not, here come the Bruins. Let's get this game thread started. Fire away.

GO BRUINS.

Andrew Luck is the Real Deal

Earlier this year, some of our posters said we had to stop Gerhardt and make Luck beat us.

I said, we needed to be careful what we wished for because Luck was very capable of beating us, and many others.

He is a great Texas kid, smart, well mannered and a perfect fit for Stanford and a roll model of the student/athlete.

It is fun to watch him play (except against us.)

He is a good QB

But I really think we would have beaten Stanford if we had Kevin Prince.

by Nestor on Nov 14, 2009 1:49 PM PST up reply actions

Agreed

although I think Stanford is playing much better now than they were 6 weeks ago.

And, we have played well and been in the games we lost, including against Stanford

It says a lot that we could have won those games.

Seeing the teams we lose to play others shows that we are not as bad as our record indicates.

That said, the D has to play a complete game today and we need to win.

Weather or not, there are no excuses.
