SPTR's going international?
Off topic, I realize, but thought I would share a piece of ref'ing that would shame even the Pac-10.

Thanks for highlighting our plight Bruinhoo :-(
The entire Irish nation is just gutted this morning. We were the complete underdogs (after FIFA decided to seed the initial draw only after they realised that big-name teams like France and Portugal were going to be in the playoffs and not get automatic qualification), yet we were by far the better team on the night. It’s a disgrace, we were cheated out of a place at the biggest tournament in the world. If you want a sense of the vitriol just type Thierry Henry into a facebook groups search…
I’m delighted to see it get such widespread coverage though, it seems every news outlet is mentioning it in some capacity, usually dropping the word “cheat” in there too. It’s been raised in the Irish parliament already this morning and prominent French politicians and sportstars have said they’re ashamed of the manner in which they “qualified”. But what are FIFA going to do about it? Sweet FA. Why soccer can’t have video challenges for the coaches like in American football, tennis, cricket or rugby? Madness.
I’ll stop whining now and get back to the Bruins. Hopefully they can give me something to cheer about on Saturday!
♠Yep
That was pretty bad, and right in front of the referee.
Oh UCLA you sweet bitch, you've BRUINed me for anything else.
Watching Soccer
I really only began to appreciate the game when I lived in England, and began watching the Premiership and World Cup’s in the pubs.
The non-call on the handball ranks up there with the job done by SEC officials this year.
