Urban Meyer = Pete Carroll of the SEC?
Does this article remind you of someone? Only coaches like Pete Carroll and Urban Meyer would suspend a player for one friggin' half for trying to blind an opponent. I'm still not sure what our 4 guys did to deserve their 1 gamer, but it couldn't have possibly been worse than eye-gouging. What a terrible message to send young players.

well to be fair to Urban
a half game suspension is more punishment than running laps

The comparison is unfair
Coach Meyer acknowledged that he had a player do something wrong, and has meted out a modicum of punishment. Cheatie has never admitted that anyone ever did anything wrong. He has never even heard of Reggie Bu$h.
Althought these guys have quite a few things in common, there is a difference. Cheatie has no integrity at all. Meyer sometimes has something hit him between the eyes and he makes the most minimal response he can.

That is bad leadership.
Also, let’s not forget that Michigan coach Rich Rodriquez also took a pass earlier this season when given the opportunity to show some nads and punish one of his players after malfeasance in the Notre Dame game.
Looks like Cheat Carroll’s example is catching steam as it sweeps across the country.
