The Bruin Has a New Den [Picture Via CRN's Twitter Page]

Bumped. GO BRUINS. -N

Hi All and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hopefully we've moved beyond yesterday's anger and frustration from the desecration of our beloved Bruin statue. Check out Coach Neuheisel's twitter page, where he noted that the UCLA staff has been working tirelessly to repair the damage done.

They've even built "a seemingly inpenetrable [sic] den," according to RN. His page includes links to pictures of the before and after.

My thanks to the workers for the incredible job.

Wish I could be on campus to see this new den, though.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Well, the “n” and the “m” are next to each other – I mean, it could happen- right?

CRN's office is

right above the Bear. I can’t imagine how depressing it would have been to see that all day.

What I want to know is are there students guarding it now???

Agreed

It needs to be guarded if for no other reason than it’s the right thing to do.

And, wood can be cut away and removed.

It has to be guarded to be safe.

Coach Neuheisel

seemed really bothered by this and he seems to be using this incident as more motivation. Dorrell would not have cared if the bear was vandalized. Thanks for the links and picture 2011.

Any idea what that's made of?

I hope it’s not drywall because that’s far from impenetrable. =\

It's the stuff they put around Gort the Robot in the original The Day the Earth Stood Still

A very hard piece of plastic that only a robot from outer space can get out of. And it repels ketchup and mustard, too.
