Pete Carroll has no respect for the game
I am a former player and have never posted before on BN. But the low class move tonight was unbelievable. Up by two touchdowns with less than a minute left and throwing deep off of play action.
Mark my words, this will come back to haunt USC. Recruits are not going to want to play for someone with no class. And the Bruins will be looking for revenge next year. I have complete faith in CRN and our dominance of LA is coming...

I agree wholeheartedly
My wife graduated from UCLA so I follow for her. We were watching the game tonight and I’m still angry about the PA pass for the touchdown late in the game. I’m more angry though that Pete Carroll refuses to apologize and that his players act like complete punks on the sideline and he (Pete) does nothing. USC has no discipline.
They are a despicable team. They act like Neuheisel is responsible by calling a timeout and that’s just ridiculous.
MATRIX: Bennett, I thought you were--
BENNETT: Dead? You thought wrong. Ever since you had me thrown out of the unit, I've been waiting to pay you back. Do you know what today is, Matrix? Payday.
Remember when Petey complained about someone doing the same exact thing?
His cockiness has already bitten him the ass (see Texas-USC Rose Bowl and going for it on 4th down), and it’s only going to again in the future.
RIP #34
Had Carroll not complained about Harbaugh going for two
then fine. I have no issue putting the pedal to the metal until the final whistle. Want to go for two or throw it or whatever. That’s fine with me, but don’t complain about it one week, then do it the next.

And the other kicker
was the proceeding reaction, in which Carroll pointed at our sideline and celebrated like it was a national-championship winning play. If your goal was merely to seal the game, then act like you’ve won a game before after that play. Instead, he ran along the sideline with arms raised and generally mugged along with his players.
Strong recruiting
Lets hope UCLA will have strong recruiting in the off season. The classless act of Pete caroll at the end of the game should help. Although there will most likely be some Bruin players going pro, many young players got valuable playing experience which will help the team next year. If they recruit a 4 or 5 star running back, they will be much more difficult to stop. Go Bruins!
crazy!
my dad and I were just talking about you today, if this is truly George Kase. While we were watching the old UCLA usc games, he told me about how the high school he teaches at (Hart High) used to be a pipeline for UCLA, and how you were one of his students (whom he thought very highly of).
Welcome to BN
Carroll is a low class jackass who was a flop in the NFL. He was lucky enough to find one of the few schools in the country who would accept someone as coach who would put their conscience aside to win at all costs.
He’ll get his payback someday, whether it’s on the field or elsewhere.
BruinDrums, Hart High used to be a pipeline for UCLA (Jim Bonds, Brian Allen, Brian Jacobs, Jerry Owens, Matt Moore, etc), But after Dorrell disrespected Matt Moore, the coaches discouraged anyone from going to UCLA. After Carroll’s classless move last night, I will do everything in power to re-establish that pipeline.
I read the LA Times today. It is disgusting. I am so mad, but do not know what to do about it. I haven’t put on a helmet since the 1995 Aloha Bowl, but am ready to suit up today.
You are going to feel at home here
Because many of us went to school with you. I think most important we need to figure out a way to rally all of our students, alums, and fans for next season. We will have our moment. I am more convinced then ever those moments are coming and they will last longer than the 13-9 aberration. Those guys are scared. If they weren’t scared or worried they wouldn’t do what they did last night.
Hart...ugh
used to kill us (Quartz Hill) annually, but I got to play against some great HS players. We’d definitely be better off rekindling ties with Hart.
Welcome, George. You will find your passion for UCLA Football is matched by many of us here. Suit us all up.
greg in denver - UCLA guy for life
Jim Bonds was my OC
in high school back in the mid 90s, and Bill Redell was the HC. Coach Bonds was great and he’s doing a fantastic job at St. Francis now.
We played Hart high school often in 7 on 7 scrimmages and we always had a mutal respect with Hart High. I hope the pipeline to Hart comes back!
Recruits..
Aren’t going to want to go to a program with a stubborn OC like UCLA has that never has the confidence to put them in the game…sorry..
who has earned playing time when given it that isn't playing
Players got a shot, fumbled a lot, didn’t know the playbook, etc…
Everyone got a chance, and those that were ready got PT, those that weren’t didn’t…
I guess they could go to SUC and hope to see playing time as a 6th year player. (I just looked it up, SUC had two 6th year players starting last night)

..
Yeah Milton Knox is ready against Tennessee and then gets suspended, then he forgets the playbook? Fumbled? He’s a better option than Moline (not bashing Chane) and Coleman..He only got PT in the stupid “Cheetah” or whatever Chow wants to call that thing which is a big failure..
Do you remember Knox against Tennessee
Yes, he ran well, but also missed a hole and couldn’t make a block that led to a sack because he didn’t know the protections. He plays the Wildcat because it only asks him to know a handful of plays and make one read.

Not worth the effort, Ry
Next he’ll be calling for Brehaut. We could play this game all day long about who should and should not play.
Nevertheless, Knox made the biggest offensive play of the season
On that run after catch for a first down in Knoxville. That play won us the game, the only respectable victory we have this year.
So why didn’t he run the Wildcat the last few games at all? (He did it so well against Washington.) Why didn’t we try to get him the ball a few times in open space? Just a couple plays, here and there.
Risking his players health
I also wait for the day when Petey gets one of his stars seriously hurt playing them in a blowout and running deep plays.
He’s been tempting fate for a long time now.
