It's official: Pete Carroll is a no-class lowlife.
N found this first but it deserves as much attention as possible. Seth Davis says what we have all known:
It's official: Pete Carroll is a no-class lowlife. Does he have any notion he is supposed to be an educator?
Carroll is not a humanitarian (the name he gave himself on his own site before he took it down). He is not an educator. He is a "no-class lowlife."
Don't be fooled. Look at his players. Look how they act on the field and off the field (and in the judicial system, etc.). And look how Carroll acts. His players follow his lead.
Yes, they got the win. But I'm really glad I'm not one of them.

Even SI's Arash Markazi, USC grad and homer gets in on the action
His latest tweets (http://twitter.com/ArashMarkazi):
“Consensus amongst many level headed USC fans: More embarrassed by rub-it-in TD and taunting than the Stanford game.”
“Carroll says he now has no problem with “Jimmy” Harbaugh’s call and that “you all” had a problem with it. That wasn’t the case last week."
“Amazed that some people actually think calling a meaningless time out at the end of a blowout is on par with throwing a rub-it-in TD.”

If Cheatey was genuinely classly
He would have continued to take knees even after the timeout. Is it possible that CRN wanted to have some words with his players (esp. the seniors) during the timeout anticipating the postgame bedlam that usually takes place?
The Kneel-down
I don’t buy the notion that has been put forward in some places (post-game show, for own) that the kneel-down was some magnanimous gesture on Puto Carroll’s part. There was nearly a minute left on the clock and we had three time-outs. In almost any game, the coach with the lead and the ball knows that he must get first downs to neutralize an opponents time-outs. By kneeling then, he was asking Neuheisel to surrender. Neuheisel did for his team what they’ve done all season, fight until the final whistle, no matter the circumstances. We do not surrender to anyone. To me, the kneel-down in that situation is as insulting as the long bomb Puto called on the next play.
There was nothing wrong in that time-out call. It would have been wrong taking all three time-outs into the locker room at the end of that game.
