Darrell Scott to Transfer - The Ralphie Report
It's now a done deal although he hasn't stated where he will go. Most of the rumors seem to point to him going to Westwood since Josh is there.

Assuming this is accurate
Don’t like it one bit. We should be using the rides for other positions of need…like DT. Also, people were clowning suc for the number of TB’s they hogged. So what would that make us?

if our RB corps is as good as SC's
it would make us a much better team…SC didn’t do anything wrong (in terms of signing multiple RBs). It was the backs that made the strange decision to keep coming to South Central.
Has there ever been a player better than Detlef Schrempf?

He followed Josh to high school in Moorpark
and then to Colorado. Why not to UCLA as well?

Don't like
it that much. Why did he go to St. Bonaventure after a successful season at Moorpark? Seems like a flip-flopper to me. I rather hope we get Barr or/and James than Scott.
Since he played this year, does he have to sit out this AND next year?

Yep
He will have to sit out next year if he decides to transfer.

i was a hater of Josh smith
But Darrell Scott is a great kid, a huge asset to a program. Colorado, my passion, has become a complete joke. Best of luck to Darrell I have no doubt he will be dominant in bruin blue

Is there any particular reason for that?
I’m not calling you out. I’d just like to know if there are attitude problems or something that we should look out for.

I guess hater is a bit strong
There’s no doubt he’s an exciting player, especially on special teams, and very gifted athletically. I think the issue most CU fans with him was that he was renowned as a player that was never fully invested and prepared. He was so good on special teams but often couldn’t get on the field as a wideout because he didn’t know the routes, offense, schemes, etc. There were numerous times interceptions were thrown because he completely ran the wrong route. It was just hard to watch a guy with so much talent not give his all to it…maybe it’s the music thing, I don’t know. But Josh is definitely a good kid with a good personality so there’s no issues of that sort to worry about.

Josh Smith has skills and after a season of TA, he will be an exciting revelation. But I’ve watched quite a few Buff games and I can’t say that I’m impressed at all. Maybe a new team will help, but I don’t see it.

I do think
It’s a waste of a scholarship opportunity…but who knows. Competition is always good right?

I think you just ended up with a steal
Scott has never been given an oppurtunity to suceed at CU, he seem like a very good young man. I was impressed with his attitude while being forced to sit. The guy wants to suceed and wants to win, I wish him the best of luck, even though I hate your coach.

Did I read correctly
that Josh Smith is his uncle?
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

You did, and best of luck to D Scott
As a completely disillusioned Buff fan, I hope D Scott stays healthy and actually gets a chance with you guys. He was never much for us, but it sucks to lose him. And yeah Josh is his uncle.

Maybe he's not coming to UCLA afterall
Per Chris Foster of the LAT:
Running back Darrell Scott, who is transferring from Colorado, is unlikely to land at UCLA, sources inside the program said. UCLA already has five tailbacks, plus a commitment from Westlake Village Oak Christian’s Malcolm Jones
Also, if you read the rest of that article, it appears that there were a ton of casualties in practice today.
