Michael Silver of Yahoo Sports calls out Pom Pom as "a classless egomaniac"
This one’s for all you Patriots fans who whine that I only call out Bill Belichick for piling on in the latter stages of lopsided victories: How stupidly self-serving was the stunt Pete Carroll pulled at the end of Saturday night’s USC-UCLA game? In a move that screamed “I am a classless egomaniac!” Trojans coach Carroll (who I generally think is a less-egregious offender than most of his peers. … But hey, this is a diatribe …) ran it up on his arch-rivals after Bruins counterpart Rick Neuheisel had the audacity to call a timeout in the final minute with his team trailing 21-7.
More in his Morning Rush (see the "Over the top, ephedrine-laced diatribe before dawn.")
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

The MSM vs. the LAT
And it’s the national MSM by a knockout.
No one really cares about using one TO when you have three remaining. But people everywhere (except at the LA Times which cannot stand the thought of criticising South Central) are calling out Carroll for the pompous ass he is and always has been.
Classic!
Gee, Pete, I guess you operate on a higher plane of competitive understanding than the rest of us . . . . Well, so much for seizing the moral high ground, Pete.

Rest assured, everyone. ‘Ol PomPom will get his just desserts real soon. You cannot conduct yourself like he does in sports and expect that you’ll escape karma. No way. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t been escaping it the past few years. Starting with their last minute choke against Texas for the NC, he and his players haven’t been to that game since. Karma has already found PomPom. And now, it’s going to find him with his future games against UCLA now that he’s spit in the face of sportsmanship in this series. The trojan faithful can spin the play call anyway they want. Justify it anyway they want. CRN even said they had the right. But, he never said they had the right to taunt, and they didn’t. And when he said “I don’t forget very much,” that is what he was referring to. What they can’t spin is how PomPom reacted after the TD and how his entire team and coaches acted. Watch the video. As he’s grinning like a fool and clapping along the sidelines, he looks right across to UCLA’s coaches and players. A ‘take that’ right in their faces. And when his players jump up and down like idiots, even ignoring some of their coaches when they’re instructing them to stay on the sidelines when the Bruins called them out, they still continued to taunt. No, they won’t escape karma. It’s coming again. When you don’t learn how to win with class like Carroll never has, 55-21 in your own backyard against Stanford happens. 13-9 losses on your way to the National Championship game against a team your favored by 30 points to beat happens. The Bruins will get their revenge. And it will be extra sweet! Watch out, Petey. It’s coming.
We WILL !
Boy, you said it well.
I hope he awakens every night in cold sweats, panicked about the nightmare he just had. It was about a desperate, blood soaked guy in tattered Trojan outfits, frantically crawling from a marauding Bruin barely inches away, pummeling repeatedly at the victim with his paws.
This is almost like getting into a Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino screenplay now. But you know what, that may be what it takes to remind him about what his despicably unsportsman like call last Saturday night on national TV..
BS--Karma Isn't Going To Kick The Bully's Ass
The ones who get their revenge do it by building bigger, tougher teams that can knock them flat. We’ve seen progress in that regard in the league this year and with our own team, but CRN is going to have to keep winning the recruiting wars to get that shitty grinning monkey off his back.
That's not what Karma means...not to get technical, but...
Karma is based on cause and effect. Causality, if you will. Which is the relationship between an event (the cause) and a second event (the effect), where the second event is a direct consequence of the first. Kicking the “bully’s ass” as you put it, would only be one way to bring about the effect. Karma, if you will. And it is coming. In one way or another. Trust me.
