Player who should lose his scholarship: Jerime Anderson was once a top 35 recruit committed to UCLA, projected to become the next Jordan Farmar, Darren Collison, etc. Instead, he's a sophomore averaging 6.2 points, 3.0 assists and 3.4 turnovers in 29.0 minutes per game. Anderson had four assists and six turnovers in Friday's 69-67 loss to Butler. Even worse, he was destroyed off the dribble by Casper Ware in Sunday's loss to Long Beach State, so much so that Ben Howland was forced to switch Malcolm Lee onto the 49ers' point guard.

That's a bit harsh.

He’s a kid struggling with enormous responsibilities carrying the weight of a team in the most critical position in Basketball.

If he’s not ready that’s the responsibility of the coaches, A) for not coaching him up, and B) for starting him when he’s not ready.

We’re not SC, nor Notre Dame. Let’s not start throwing our players under the bus for failing. Kevin Craft took a lot of similar flak last year for failing, and against SC he came in when it was clear KP was in over his head, and he played admirably. You don’t know what JA can accomplish once he turns that proverbial corner.

i really really hope you’re right! As it’s been said, JA & ND are probably the key’s to this season….

Parrish writes with humor

He does the same thing every week highlighting players who did well (“Player who deserves improper benefits”) and other topics (“Why I’m dumber than you think”). Relax. I think it is important to realize that JA’s struggles have been so severe that they have garnered national attention. Gotta feel for the kid. It will be interesting to see if he wilts under the pressure or rises above it. So far its unfortunately been the former.

Cool

it did not read like tongue in cheek humor, But I’ll take your word for it.

lol

tongue in cheek but not really. i’m sure its meant to let JA know that he is on a national stage and that he is stinking it up. agree that its the coaches responsibility to save him the ridicule by removing the pressure that he is obviously not ready for… step up CBH!
