Uhm. I can't believe what I just watched in that video. That is freaking insane. And it was insane that the NM player who is the focus of that video was allowed to finish the game.

GO BRUINS.

Amazing!

An incredible display of unsportsmanlike conduct! Just shocking…

Crazy!

Thugette? Thugeress? Is there a word?
You know if ESPN is showing women’s soccer in midseason, it’s for something bad.

There’s an old saying:
Rugby is a rogue’s game played by gentlemen.
Soccer is a gentle(wo)men’s game played by rogues.

It's thugs

instead of rogues.

Having played both extensively, I guess I am a thuggish gentleman? Or a gentlemanly thug? :)

Funny thing is, the same can be said for the fans.
Soccer is a gentlemen’s game watched by thugs.
Rugby is a thug’s game watched by gentlemen…

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

I'm used to this sort of thing.

I’ve been watching South Central’s brand of thugishness up close for years. What I find amazing is that people are finally saying something, despite the fact that Taylor Mays has nothing on Rey Maugaluga.

Wow

I hate to play pop psychiatrist from afar, but I think that woman likely has some serious, serious issues. That was brutal and she should be kicked off the team, permanently.

Holy mother of heaven.

I haven’t seen take downs like that since the last time the LAPD got busted for an excessive traffic stop.

Son of a (BLEEP). The hair-pull takedown alone should be grounds enough for suspension — nobody has any business doing that unless it’s a save-your-backside move in a bar brawl or something.

If that girl has any eligiblity left, it needs to be cut in HALF, if not revoked ENTIRELY from here on out. I don’t care if she’s a frosh or senior — I wouldn’t be surprised if a lawsuit comes out of this.

On another note

Thank goodness ESPN has Julie Foudy on the roster to provide that in-depth analysis.

Deja Vu all over again

“What do you think (s)he said? ‘I didn’t do it,’ " said UNM (Trojans Coach Tim Floyd), who didn’t see the play happen live. “(s)He’s a freshman. (S)He doesn’t know that we film everything. But (s)he’s a good (gal)guy.”

I guess it's just me...

Maybe it’s because I don’t like BYU, but all I see a pretty bad player who’s dirty and clumsy. Of course she should have been sent off, but it’s not like any of those things has never happened before. People retaliate and trip people, and I would say hair pulling is not as bad as grabbing somebody’s balls.
