"The second big question is how many teams will be eligible?
Six teams already are. Only woeful Washington State is out for sure.
The most likely seventh? UCLA, which has to win at Washington State on Saturday and then either beat Arizona State at home or win at USC."

Think about WSU first
All this discussion will be moot if we don’t get it done in the Palouse.

And let's not get ahead of ourselves
Beating lowly UW is one thing. But historically, we don’t play well in the Paloose. Also, ASU has a stingy defense and we’re playing U$C in the mausoleum.
We’re playing ASU at home, and if our offense can execute with very few mistakes, we have a shot. Otherwise, it’ll be turnover city.
As for U$C, our chances of beating them will improve if Stanford beats them…they would then have nothing to play for. Right now they still have a shot at a BCS bid (it would be a travesty if they got one even if they win out), but another loss and they’re out of the picture.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
