Kiki To Coach New Jersey Nets
From the New York Daily News:
Kiki Vandeweghe watched in person as the Nets lost all four games on their recent West Coast trip, tying the NBA record of 17 consecutive defeats to start a season. And while what he saw was not pretty, it apparently was not enough to scare Vandeweghe away.
Following the ouster of Lawrence Frank before Sunday's record-tying loss to the Lakers, Vandeweghe is set to become the team's interim coach, multiple sources confirmed last night.
Vandeweghe has been the Nets' general manager since December 2007, but because he has no experience as a head coach, he will have some help from one of the league's veteran coaches, Del Harris, who will be named the top assistant.
Perhaps he can start by changing up the Net's jerseys to something like this?

Yep, those jerseys were result of brainstorming of Bruin great Kiki.
Anyway, good luck to Kiki. Always good to have Bruins at key positions in the NBA.
GO BRUINS.

This is more of a punishment than anything
I do think it’s time that the Nets adopted a more blue and gold scheme though.
The Nets have some talent....
….admittedly its not a lot, but there is no excuse for them to be 0-17 with Devin Harris and Brook Lopez on that team. I’m all for making teams blue and gold, but I always felt like the nets should be all gray with some orange to really resemble a net and hoop.
true
but how this man still doesnt have a band named after him is beyond me, what a sweet name…

Wrong move for Kiki
Can anybody remember a time a GM has stepped in as a Coach and succeeded? It just doesn’t happen. And, there are no franchise changing lottery picks on the horizon, either. Those come about once or twice a decade.
