Three Redshirt Juniors Leaving Football Team?
When I checked out BRO to read about Gordon, I cam across an article about three redshirt juniors on the football team leaving?? Does anyone know anything about this? I didn't see who they were because I don't have a subscription... I think one of them may be Jake Dean? But I'm not sure. Can someone with a subscription to BRO check this out?
We need to band together in the face of adversity, this has been an insane week.
However, CRN is freaking awesome. This was his tweet last night:
"Just had a fantastic banquet at Century Plaza. Sorry we stepped away from twitter for a moment. Had to call Timeout!!"
Now if that doesn't bring a smile to your face...
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

RELAX
Those three juniors are graduating at the end of the season. This means CRN will have 3 more scholarship to offer during the recruiting season upping UCLA’s available scholies from 17 to 20. Take a deep breath. This is good news.
I'm relaxed
just didn’t know who they were… still don’t know.

I don't want to give the name of others
which is in a subscription based article. That wouldn’t be cool to Pierson and the BRO folks, who work hard to get that info. I am sure we will find out soon enough in free sites via other reporters. Meanwhile, let’s defer to them a bit here and respect their work.
"Had to call timeout"
CRN is a cool cat.
I guess I can get over their play call. I will never get over their reaction.

The Perils of Recruiting Rankings
Jake Dean’s decision to leave the program illustrates the inexact science that is evaluating recruits. Dean was the No. 1 offensive lineman in the state by one service. Another player from that class, Andy Keane, was the No. 1 rated center in the nation by ESPN and he’s developed into a seldom used backup DL.
I bring this up because of all the discussion on BN about the basketball class of 2008, which was ranked No. 1 in the country. In reality, that class included one highly-overrated player, one player who can’t get off the bench and one player who quit the team. That a great record.
Good luck the the four football players and thanks for giving CRN an opportunity to bring more top players into the program.
