The UCLA Football team enjoyed a warm , sunny Southern California December day at nearby Six Flags Magic Mountain and Rahim Moore describes his apprehension to heights lol.

I don't know how to feel.
On one hand I smile at these videos. The guys are obviously having a blast here, and events like these may encourage some recruits to come to a fun, emerging program.
But on the other hand, I just have the feeling that our team is hardly preparing mentally for a bowl on the east coast against a team whose strengths play against our weaknesses.
I don’t think its a negative – the quarter is over, no school for these guys, and they can only spend so many hours practicing and in meetings due to NCAA regs. You need to have a life outside of football, just like anything else you do in life. Nothing wrong with building team, it will do much more good than harm.

That is true
It’s winter break, and since some of these guys can’t go visit their families out of town until after the bowl, their teammates are kind of a second family.
Good point about school being over.
OK -- I've Been Won Over
As usual, CRN knows best.
It always seems trite to call something like this a “bonding experience”. But, when you see the spontaneous comments and reactions of the players, you realize that the label fits.
Afraid of heights? Go on the ride with your ’mates.
I also liked seeing the guys whose names we don’t hear.
Yes, if we lose the game, these kinds of things will be criticized. But, I won’t do it. I see the long term value.

Agree
Maybe it’s the Geezerdom speaking out. I would much rather have our guys bond by going to Six Flags than bond by climbing over a wall.
Memories
I worked at Magic Mountain in college and remember the team coming through before a bowl game. They seemed to have fun.
This is definitely good for recruiting
Did anyone else pick up the hint of good california weather?

Sadly
The last time I went to Six Flags, there was a shooting and the park closed down, there were 40 police cars and fire trucks…not the best crowd there, it seems.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
