Nut Bowl
LOL!!!
"The entire world that bleeds blue and gold ... they have been dying for this." - Coach Rick Neuheisel
Unfortunately we can't make fun of this
Considering we don’t have Kai Maiava eligible and almost had Reggie Carter missing our bowl game due to academic issues.
I know
I was thinking that too. We can’t even enjoy this since our news came out just after. Lame. However, I still find “nut bowl” funny.

Sure we can:
“We’re really disappointed these guys didn’t come through,” USC coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. “They had all the help in the world to get it done and they didn’t do it.”
I can actually believe somebody was ruled academically ineligible at UCLA, hell my girlfriend at the time was put on academic probation. But, you’re telling me these guys can’t pass Senora Ross’ class? Even with all the help in the world ?
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
They did have all the help...
Classes with Senora Ross. Persons taking tests for them and writing papers for them. This is SOP at USC — remember Charles White and the other 19 or so folks taking an “educational course” over Christmas break to be eligible for the Rose Bowl?
McKnight has paperwork to do
you mean like filling out his draft papers? (with a Speak N’ Spell at his side of course)
Is It Just Me?
When was the last time anyone remembers a SUC player being acedemically ingeligible for a bowl game, nonetheless three!?!? Guessing they decided to keep their noses clean until the heat goes down.?.?
Ummm, OK...
…all the help in the world. You said it, Pete, so I guess you really do know.
I want to hear more blindingly ignorant statements from Schenter, too, who was completely indignant that he was forced to tell his wife about all the cars he’d bought for other woman, and wants people to actually believe that “USC” stands for United States China.
These guys are an absolute hoot.
Love My Bruins
It's reasonably likely that Schenter has heard of one of them.
But unlikely in the extreme that he has heard of Shakespeare and Twain and Tolkien.
