Another Christmas has come and it's better than some. Moore will celebrate with his mother, Nowana Buchanan, and family today. On Friday he gets on a plane for the nation's capital, where the Bruins will play Temple in the EagleBank Bowl on Tuesday.
It's another step in the journey.
"I am so proud of his accomplishments," said Buchanan, a single mother with three children. "Every kid should follow the path of their dream. Every kid should desire to be positive in life and have a goal. I've seen him grow and seen him go after his dream. And he didn't get into any trouble. That is the most rewarding thing."
There is little doubt that Moore, a 19-year-old with deep religious beliefs, is the light bulb around which many of his teammates hover, providing a nonstop monologue to anyone within range.

Such a great guy
Nestor, do you think Moore is gone if he plays next year like he did this year?
It keeps appearing like the sky’s the limit for him.
Honestly not sure
I think Moore needs to fill in a little more physically to make him even more effective in helping out against the run. At least for the next level I think he needs to put on more pounds and get stronger. If he has a great offseason this year, I think he will be in a position to make a name for himself setting himself up with great options (perhaps at least check out his stock in the NFL or position himself for an amazing senior season). I love this kid.
I love him as a player
and according to my friend, who is president of the building Rahim lives in, he is the nicest guy you will ever meet.
Great piece on a grewat kid.
Not to be greedy, but I want to see CRN and the rest of our staff get about another 5-6 guys like this every year for the next 4-5 years, and REALLY turn the program all the way around.
