UCLA Commit Malcolm Jones: 2009 Daily News All-Area football Player of the Year
From the feature linked above:
"A running back at Oaks Christian High in Westlake Village, Jones rushed for 2,470 yards - averaging 10.5 yards per carry - and scored 45 touchdowns, including 14 touchdowns in four playoff games.
The Gatorade state and national Player of the Year, Jones finished his four-year career with 6,280 yards and 113 touchdowns - the eighth-highest touchdown total in state history.
Jones is one of those rare running backs who have it all: a 6-foot-1, 220-pounder with blinding speed, awesome power, terrific open-field moves and that special quality of being at his best in the fourth quarter.
Also a top linebacker, Jones is headed to UCLA, picking the Bruins over dozens of major colleges, including USC, Notre Dame, Stanford, Oklahoma and LSU."
Congrats again to Malcolm. Can't wait to see him in our blue home uniform. GO BRUINS.

My word.
Sometimes I forget just how ridiculous his stats are. I mean, 14 TDs in 4 games? And the kid is smart, to boot? I can’t wait until this kid gets a shot at the top spot on our team, the more I see and hear of him the more stoked I am to watch him. This kid could be special.
And we have another stud running back coming in, too. The talent level is certainly increasing.

Very Nice...
Hey Nestor, how about some love for Brett Nottingham. He was just named East Bay POY. The talent that CRN is bringing into UCLA is incredible. Actually, the entire staff is doing a great job. Tevin McDonald also had a great year and he is one of our least heralded recruits. Tevin led his team to a championship and I heard he had great championship game.

garlon I offered up the comment above in a positive way. Again if you read something you think we should all take note off (and hasn’t been posted either in home page or fanpost/fanshot section), please share it with everyone else. It is impossible for few people to be on top everything when they are doing all of this as a hobby. This has to be a community based effort. Cheers.
