Note the report on the OC Reg was highlighted by Trojan shill/hack Adam Maya.

It will be interesting if Chow actually engages in serious discussion w SJSU. It is completely reasonable for him to at least listen to folks if other schools approach him about a HCing job. That has always been his dream.

Sometimes coaches want to be HC so bad ..

they make interesting decisions. For i.e. see Walker toiling away in New Mexico State. If he had stuck around at UCLA, help CRN finish the rebuilding process in Westwood, he could have ended up somewhere much better.

However, note in that article it doesn’t say anywhere Chow might be interested.

Had to know that Maya

would be the first one to pimp this report. I think this came from a side conversation that Chow had with Steve Clarkson, who’s an SJSU alum. I think there’s very little legs to this story. Chow’s not going to leave the Pac-10 for the WAC. The only one who is saying that Chow has any interest is Clarkson. Hardly an unbiased source.

For those who don’t know, Clarkson is the QB coach who has worked on the side with Leinart and Jimmy Clausen, among others.

Chow also said he wanted to put up another Heisman

before he retired. Do you think he is more likely to do that at UCLA or SJSU?

Chow has always wanted to be a HC

I have to think that this would be one of, if not the, last opportunities to do so. If San Jose offers it, I would be very surprised if Chow turned it down. But San Jose State just tried to win with an old coach and it didn’t work out too well, I don’t see them offering the job to a 63 year old Chow at this point.

Next article from Maya

He’ll probably have an interview with Norm Chow and try to twist his words in order for Maya to not look like the fool he made himself out to be just like the last one.
