Sunday should be really fun against UCLA. I mean, when you get a chance to beat up on another "national power" or "blue-blood," you should savor it - which we will.

FWIW
I think the guys at Rock Chalk Talk are very cool. They are passionate basketball fans. I thought the quote seem to capture the general sentiment among Jayhawks fandom though (and I can’t blame them for having that kind of confidence). Still it def. gets your attention a bit.
If any of them start giving you shit
Fall back on one of my favorite Ben Ball games of all time: 68-55. And no, I don’t think I have to explain that any further.
Question
Didn’t we beat them two years in a row in the tournament?

Unless I'm reading this wrong
Nope. I seem to remember two years as well. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Go Bruins!
I guess not...
But looking at those scores reminds me of some great times.

amen
When the 2007 brackets came out, my VP at the time was a Kansas grad. He was so confident that Kansas was winning it all, when we were in Vegas for a business trip we both got drunk and put $20 on our respective teams to win it all. We then made a bet that if both teams got to the Elite-8 (in his words “if UCLA can make it that far”) the loser would have to put the winner’s banner up in his office for a month.
Needless to say, he had a lot of questions a’coming from every visitor to his office for the month of May.
Go Bruins!
This excerpt had me scratching my head
So, USC and Washington are the two Pac 10 teams that get to represent the conference twice by playing two games. It’s a good thing they decided to keep it fair and not let (probably) the two best teams in the conference play twice.
Uhhhhh……USC as one of the two best teams in the PAC 10?
Try again
They like that the two teams playing twice AREN’T the Pac-10’s two best teams.

Last time #1 KU came in to Pauley ...
They left with a loss. That was one of the finer moments of UCLA basketball under Lavinovich.

That Kansas game
was the first time I rushed the court at Pauley. Oh the memories.
Oh UCLA you sweet bitch, you've BRUINed me for anything else.
I actually
rushed the court against Arizona one year too. Was that before or after Kansas? Well beating Roy Williams was better anyways!
Oh UCLA you sweet bitch, you've BRUINed me for anything else.
So...
who has the better basketball tradition Kansas or UCLA?
Oh UCLA you sweet bitch, you've BRUINed me for anything else.
Heh
I was actually hoping someone would engage me in a Howland style call and response.
Oh UCLA you sweet bitch, you've BRUINed me for anything else.
Problem is that opinion lies with the beholder
You and I would obviously say UCLA for the banners. However, I think there are four schools head and shoulders above the rest, and each of them can argue that they are the best. KU’s first coach invented the game (supposedly). Kentucky has Rupp (whatever that’s worth). And of course, UNC has a good argument as well.

So I guess in March we'll all watch video footage of the '95 Bruins...
while Kansas fans will be rooting for their team in the NCAA tournament. Whatever makes you all happy, Bruin Nation. Go Bruins.
33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.
