Quest For Bru-105: Water Polo National Title Game
It's the Bruins and Trojans for the national title. SC is aiming for their second consecutive national title, but the Bruins upended the Trojans just last week in the MPSF Tournament. UCLA beat LMU in yesterday's national semifinals to advance to the final, needing double overtime to get past the Lions and their outstanding goalie, while the top-ranked Trojans cruised past an overmatched Princeton team.
The only other time UCLA and USC have played for the national title was in 1996, when the Bruins topped the Trojans, 8-7. The match is live on CBS College Sports and is already underway.

A rough start for the Bruins
Fell behind 3-0, but finally got on the board with a goal and have cut the lead to 3-1. We’re in the 2nd quarter.

Down 4-2 with 2:38 to go in the 2nd
Get one more goal before half and go into the break down only one and we’re in business. Let’s go guys!

From the angle they had
the shot off the side of the net looked like it was in.

With the way things have gone the last 10 days
we can really use a win here. Not just winning a national title, but beating SC to do it. Having to beat Kansas later today to save the weekend is not a situation I look forward to.

Man advantage with 7:04 to go and down one
Getting even in always a tough hump to get over in any sport when making a comeback. Getting the goal here would be big mentally in addition to the obvious importance of it.

Thanks for the updates
I hate not being able to actually watch these games, so I really appreciate the commentary!

Crap
SC scores. Our goalie got across and got a hand to it, but it went up, off the bottom of the crossbar and in. We have to find two goals in a little under four minutes now.

Bruins get a stop
With 15 seconds, we have the ball and need a goal to send it to OT.
