Adam Morrison Gets A "Bruin" Welcome To LA
Adam Morrison - the newest Laker - gets an appropriate welcome to LA:
The Lakers' UCLA alumni club did its best to make Adam Morrison feel welcome - so to speak.
Morrison arrived at the Lakers' practice facility Monday, a day after being acquired from Charlotte in a trade, to find a picture taped to his locker.
There was Morrison, sobbing, moments after his Gonzaga Bulldogs had been eliminated from the 2006 NCAA Tournament by Jordan Farmar's UCLA Bruins.
"I have a suspect," Morrison said with a smile. "I knew I would get some flak for that, coming to L.A."
Trevor Ariza is also a UCLA alum, but incriminating photos aside, Morrison couldn't be happier with the trade, which sent him and guard Shannon Brown to the Lakers in exchange for Vladimir Radmanovic.
Much has changed for Morrison since that tournament game. Most visibly, his once- famous shaggy locks have been shorn to a tight cut, and his facial hair has been trimmed into a thin goatee.
Well we of course wish nothing but luck to the newest Laker. Yet we couldn't resist get a referesher course since we already on youtubing mode this Tuesday night:
End of UCLA v. Gonzaga (via jellyville)
Heart --break city.
The highlights of Ben Ball warriors "climbing a mountain"never gets old.
Oh "what a comback."
Have we mentioned before just how much Gus Johnson rules? Anyway, where were we ... welcome to (UC)LA Adam.
GO BRUINS.

goosebumps
That clip NEVER fails to give me goosebumps. Gus Johnson could make my grandma’s game of bridge exciting.
I was just gonna say...
GOOSEBUMPS! EVERY time I see that. Gus Johnson made that even better than it already was. I made a ringtone for my phone with that highlight a couple of years back and I still use it. Every time someone calls my phone yells “And a steal…FARMAR…inside… the freshman up… ooooohhhhh and they go in front…” etc. Its GREAT! heheee!
GO BRUINS!!!
I want Gus Johnson calling EVERY one of our Tournament games.
Of course, I also want them ALL played in Oakland, but that’s just me.

Gus Rules
Gus is second on my all time list of commentators right after the great Chick Hearn…
Watching that clip shows me how much this years team is a lot like the first Final Four Bruins under CBH. They were a team that everyone in the Media questioned as a two seed but never quit and found their mojo at the right time, too bad they had to face Florida in the end. I hope this team can continue with its growth and development.
Go BRUINS!!!
Chris Chase of The Dagger Poses The Question: Am I A Douche?
I was on yahoo sports home page and found this:
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Poll-Dancing-The-coaches-poll-s-strange-infatua?urn=ncaab,140391
Chris Douche is asking the question: ‘How can UCLA be ranked so high in the Coaches Poll? Are the coaches crazy?’
I’m bursting with pride at the national reaction: ‘No Chris. UCLA is that good. You the press are the dumb ones.’
In the comments there are Arizona fans actually defending our team.
After living in the BN for a few years,
visiting blogs like that is truly like taking a tour through a third world country. With one or two exceptions, the guys who post there seem to be brain dead.
Sorry, but I have another Geezer question. Most of these things start with someone saying “1st.” Is it deemed desireable by junior high students to be the first person to post? If so, why? I don’t understand, and assume it is geezerdom.
The UCLA Lakers Alumni Club
you rock. Awesome job!
I watched that clip over the weekend when I heard Morrison was traded.
Welcome to LA
As a Laker fan, I guess I’ll root for Morrison now. Just remember, to paraphrase Tom Hanks: “There’s no crying in Basketball!”
