Huskies Homage to John Wooden
I don't really spend my time reading blogs, but I do consistently read two. One, of course, is the great Bruinsnation, which is by far the best college sports blog on the web. The way that Nestor and the gang manage it...let's just say it makes me even MORE proud to be a Bruin alum.
The other blog I like to read is the sports blog of the school we just beat. Whether its in football or basketball, whenever our boys bring the pain to another school, I make sure to savor the victory by soaking in the concessions, complaints, what have you, of the defeated sports community.
So naturally, after our big win over the Huskies on Thursday, I happened to fall upon the Huskies website and I found this thread on Coach Wooden.
I'll be the first to admit that I liked Washington just about as much as I liked Ryan Appleby's hairdo, which is to say, not at all...but after reading this, I have gained a new dose of respect for our Pac-10 rivals from the north.
Coach Wooden, of course, demands the respect of even the lowest of Trojans. But the way these Huskies not only show respect, but share in our affection for Coach...it speaks volumes about them.
Having said that, it still felt great beating them down on Thursday.
GO BRUINS
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

DawgPound
Is a great blog. I have the highest respect for John B who runs it. I lobbied heavily for him to join SBN. He is a great example of a blogger who zeroes in on his own program. He loves everything about UDub while being respectful all the other Pac-10. Of course they are intense in their rivalry with the Cougs but that’s expected.
I am not a big fan of Romar or the Husky players but I have always admired Washington and their fanbase and the school they have up in Seattle.
DawgPound is a great blog that should make all Husky alums and students proud.

Wooden Tribute
I ran across this last night and was hoping someone would link it …. I still haven’t figured out how:( Too much of a geezer, I guess.
I’ve read some blogs that don’t give any respect to Coach and was very glad to see the Dawgs know the truth! Love our Coach!!!
