Rivals Honors Norm Chow
The recruiting gurus at Rivals have named Norm Chow the Pac-10 Recruiter of the Year, on the strength of his efforts to reel in our highly regarded class. The entire article is here. I'm not sure whether it's behind a subscription wall, so here's a bit of their well-deserved praise:
Chow has been called a lot of things in his long and storied coaching career, but ace recruiter was never one of them. But that changed this season when Chow took on a major role in the Bruins' recruiting efforts. The Bruins' offensive coordinator became more active than ever, and his efforts were rewarded with commitments from five four-star recruits and two three-star prospects. He helped the Bruins pull off three Signing Day surprises with four-star athlete Randall Carroll, four-star offensive tackle Xavier Su'a Filo and four-star offensive guard Stanley Hasiak. He also landed his quarterback of the future in Richard Brehaut and assisted with most offensive targets for the Bruins.
Big congrats to our offensive coordinator for this recognition from people in the know in the recruiting world.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

We're not the only ones...
who recognize CNC recruiting efforts. By the day I am becoming more of a college football fan. Still have not given up my love for MLB though. A few more good years from the Bruins should be able to give MLB a run for their money.
so...
…you’ll only be a fan of Bruin football if they are winning? Or are you just not a big CFB fan in general? You don’t need to give up your love for MLB…different seasons! (Go Dodgers, by the way).
Go Bruins.
It took me a long time to figure out who "MLB" was
Maurice Lones-Brew? Morenzo Lata-Breal? Then it sunk in.
And to my surprise, after living and dying with the Dodgers since 1958 and before (the first game I saw was at the Crapaseum with Vernon Law starting for the Pirates against Carl Erskine for the Dodgers), I have become first and foremost a Rays fan. This happened before the miracle of last year. I never thought that would ever happen, and I can’t explain how it happened. What makes it even stranger is that the Rays have a designated hitter (the second biggest travesty in baseball, after interleague play).
Anyway, I hoped for a Dodgers Rays World Series last year, and I repeat that hope this year.
