Unrequited Love
Love arrived at Mr. Chow, the famed Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills, the waiting group included Jay Williams, former national player of the year at Duke and 2002 NBA lottery pick.
Williams was there on business, as the chief recruiter for Ceruzzi Sports and Entertainment, the very agency that staked Barrett with a quarter-million dollars.
"I was like, excuse my French, what the [expletive] is this all about?" Love said during a recent interview.

Good Article.
I particularly enjoyed the difference in character shown by Kevin Love as opposed to Reggie Bush’s portrayal in “Tarnished Heisman.” It is a sad sad day when this stuff has become the norm in college athletics. And yet as well documented as this new trend appears to be, I have very little hope the NCAA can or will do anything meaningful about it.

NCAA gets dirtier by the year
Kevin Love wasn’t all that wowed. He’s a polite guy but also, by basketball standards, a down to earth one. "I’m an apple pie-and-ice cream kind of guy," he said. NBA stars, Mr. Chow and flashy nights meant little. He claims he wanted no part of dealing with agents, and said he was shocked to find Williams at the restaurant.
"My face turned completely red," he said. "I respect [Williams] as a player. But he came after me and once he started talking about all that agent stuff, I said, ‘You know what, talk to my family.’"
Love said he left the dinner after the appetizers.
That’s why you recruit character guys. They represent you well even after they’re gone.
Now, as far as AAU goes, that’s a dirty game. I don’t think anyone doubts that, and as much as Wetzel may be irresponsible for his hit job on Coach Wooden a few years back, I applaud him for bringing this to light. Let’s not sit back and pretend that this is just a problem with AAU though. Football and Basketball are big moneymakers and it’s just one more failure on the part of the NCAA that they aren’t reigning this in. It doesn’t help that they drop the ball on the highest profile cases (BUSHGATE), thereby signaling that you can even get caught and still get away with it. There were mentions of “runners”, which turned up suspiciously often in the case against Bush. Cracking down on these people would be a good place to start.

Let's put it this way,
the agent that K-Love chose did the ‘right’ thing. It’s a cutthroat business and for some agents (and their foot soldiers) this is just of the things you must do to succeed.

Thank Goodness.....
….Kevin Love is intelligent, and didn’t give these idiots any more of his time (unlike players from some other schools, cough, cough).
The thing that pisses me off is that there is so much money involved that you get all kinds of shady characters trying to cash in and take advantage of players who may not know any better.

Pedophiles
Last year, I wrote a Fanpost calling these AAU guys, agents and runners pedophiles.
KL came from a strong, secure family.
OJ2 did not. The pedophiles picked him up on a playground, when he was very young, and exploited him for years.
This is a sick system that should not be tolerated — yet little is being done to stop it. Exploiting kids, in any way, is wrong.
